MUPAC – Museum of Land and River Landscape
The Ethnographic Museum of Colorno – Museum of Land and River Landscapes (MUPAC) is a museum of man and his culture, it is therefore an ethno-anthropological museum that places man at its center and the representation of the complexity of his experience.
The Museum is located on the first floor of the Aranciaia (Orangerie) and is configured as a cultural enterprise of social and strategic importance for the city and the territory of Colorno and the Emilia-Romagna Region. Its function, not limited to the still relevant objectives of conservation and presentation to the public of objects, images and documents, is expresed in the configuration of a cultural and turist offer institution, a teaching service, protagonist of the necessary reflection on the relationship between memory, identity and prospects for the future.
Casa delle Contadinerie
The founder of the House Museum of Rural Life is Don Learco Paini. With his collaborators of A.N.S.P.I. of Coenzo, has created a unique place where new generations can discover the traditions of the past and relieve the customs of their grandparents. The main part of the collection is made up of the clothes and the machines for making them: the loom, the tools for spinning wool, the sewing machine dating back to the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The purpose of the collection is to create a center to raise awareness of the work and formal clothes of the people of the Bassa Parmense at the beginning of the century to analyze the various aspects of the past life.
